Marianne’s Coaching Approach
"Life coaching is a process and a relationship that helps a person achieve their goals and desired outcomes to improve any area of their lives. The coach is a facilitator of this process, who through dialogue, questions, tools, and techniques, provides the space for personal development and growth to occur. Philosophically, my Holistic Life Coaching approach is inspired by humanistic, existential, transpersonal, and positive psychology (e.g., Carl Rogers, Viktor Frankl, Carl Jung, and Martin Seligman, among others) which highlight the unique aspects and capacity for growth of each person, the possibility of improving quality of life, and achieving fulfillment and happiness. Each client has the resources and wisdom inside to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. At the same time, my coaching approach is very pragmatic and informed by the most recent research in neuroscience and other evidence-based approaches, such as mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy (MCBT), cognitive behavioral techniques (CBT), and acceptance and commitment methods (ACT). Additionally, I integrate mindfulness practices in a secular way (to respect everyone’s spiritual beliefs and values). I apply mindfulness into coaching, particularly to achieve more awareness of emotions, thoughts, and beliefs that can become obstacles or blocks for achieving the client's goals, manage stress, and reduce anxiety. The coaching process should also be very down to earth and, therefore, clear goals should be set during the first sessions with a client, as well as monitoring progress and holding them accountable, while helping them remove obstacles along the way. Recognizing the client´s small and big accomplishments is also essential for them to move forward and succeed in their goals. I use motivational interviewing and solution-focused coaching to motivate people to change, generate quick wins, and keep focused on solutions and what is working, rather than on problems."

Marianne practices meditation and yoga, as part of her spiritual practice, a journey that began many years ago and, since then, has provided meaning and guidance to her life. Because she has experienced the value of these practices, Marianne integrates meditation and mindfulness tools into her work with individuals and groups helping them to deepen the connection to spirituality through meditative exercises.
She has traveled and lived in India for long periods during the last 7 years. A native of Chile, lived in Venezuela many decades, and now a citizen of the world. Diverse inner and transpersonal journeys, such as meditation, past life regression therapy, and practices extracted from Buddhist psychology have added depth into her life and work.
Marianne’s Psychotherapy Approach
Her psychotherapy practice is holistic and integrates diverse approaches such as attachment theory, somatic and cognitive psychotherapy, regression therapy, hypnotherapy, and mindfulness practices to the treatment of trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and relationship issues. This allows the person to regain awareness and connection, experiencing the joy of living in the present moment.
She also blends psychotherapy with Eastern wisdom traditions, such as Yoga, and Tantric and Taoist practices, for the treatment of sexual difficulties. By combining psychological treatment with these energy healing modalities, sexual difficulties such as low sexual desire, premature ejaculation, and problems reaching orgasm, can be overcome.
Marianne provides online psychotherapy for clients from Chile and other Latin American countries (except Argentina and Uruguay).
